IBM CEO Ginni Rometty said today that tech will make our businesses more productive and efficient.
She made the remarks during the IBM CEO Council meeting.
Romettty is one of the few CEOs to publicly discuss her company’s investment in technology and the need to accelerate its development.
The IBM CEO said tech is not just a “disruption” and that its a fundamental part of business.
“Technology is not a disruption,” she said.
“It is the foundation of our success.
It is a foundation of what we do and what we will do in the future.

Romettsy emphasized the importance of technology to IBM.
“I want to thank the people of IBM for giving us the tools to make our business more efficient and to make it better,” she added.
IBM has been the fastest growing technology company in the United States since the first quarter of 2017, with revenue in the top 25 companies in the S&P 500.
Its stock price has risen nearly 8% in 2017.
